Our History
1992
The Beginning at YMCA
Began teaching Kung Fu and offering private Taekwondo lessons.
1992–1994
Rising Martial Arts
Established Rising Martial Arts on Parkway Forest Drive, growing to 30–40 students.
Early 1990s
Teaching at School
Taught lunchtime martial arts classes while attending George Vanier High School.
Richmond Hill
Master Reza Taekwondo Academy
Established a martial arts program at a fitness club near Yonge Street and Elgin Mills Road.
John Street
Lion Taekwondo Academy Co-founded Lion Taekwondo Academy with Grandmaster Baek.
~2004
Our Own Independent Academy
Opened an independent academy on Yonge Street, building a strong martial arts community.
~2014
A New Home on Yonge Street
Relocated one block north to our present Richmond Hill academy, continuing our mission.
2023–2024
Expanding to Newmarket
Opened Newmarket Martial Art at 77 Davis Drive.

Over 34 Years of Excellence
